Our apartements and studios in Basel

During your stay in your Apart Hotel in Basel, don't miss out on a visit to the city's Music Museum, which is easily accessible on foot.

The Musikmuseum is one of the jewels of Basel's Old Town. The building that houses it is composed of several parts, the oldest of which is the medieval collegiate church of Saint-Leonard, founded in the 11th century. Over the years, this imposing monument became a church and even a prison in the 19th century. At the turn of the 21st century, the architects Morger & Degelo were able to bring together almost one thousand years of history with the museum's exceptional collections. Nearly 650 musical instruments are on display in this museum.

They are exceptional sometimes by their history (you will discover for example the oldest drum dating from the 16th century), by their origin, or by their degree of ornamentation and aestheticism. Discover music from all over the world and from its origins.

The Music Museum is also a place for cultural exchanges and artistic encounters in the broadest sense. Throughout the year, events are organised that reach beyond the Museum, guaranteeing constant renewal and the chance to satisfy visitors' curiosity.

For those who want a more in-depth experience or who want to (re)discover the collections in a different light, themed guided tours are ideal for families. They will allow you to explore the Museum in a fun and interactive way. For music lovers, lovers of architecture or the curious who want to broaden their horizons, the Music Museum in Basel is the must-see stop-off in the Old Town.
