The historic centre and the Cathedral of Vannes

The emblematic cobbled streets, vestiges of the medieval period, give you the opportunity to explore the historic centre of Vannes with its marina, famous ramparts, timber-framed houses, Halle des Lices, the Cohue museum of Fine Arts, the Wednesday and Saturday morning markets and the famous Saint-Pierre Cathedral.

This Gothic style Roman Catholic cathedral, the longest in Brittany, is built on the remains of an old Roman cathedral. Sheltering the relics of Saint Vincent Ferrier since 1419, this historical monument, which is actually a minor basilica, is also a place of pilgrimage on the Tro Breizh route (a pilgrimage dating from the Middle Ages that links the towns of the seven founders of Brittany).
